South Bay Wildlife Oct. 18, 2014

Harry Orgovan spoke at the Chula Vista Marina on
"San Diego Bay Wildlife & History."
Many of the pictures shown by Harry were taken
from his kayak around the South Bay.

The steelhead trout was thought extinct in San Diego,
but the Discovery Center rescued seven fish
in 1997 from the upper Sweetwater River.
Wildlife has flourished on land reclaimed
from the salt ponds and the power plant.

Parks and Wildlife areas are shown on this Bayfront Master Plan map from 2006.
