The Blomenbergs and Buucks emigrated from villages in Germany north of Minden along the Weser River in the Hannover district, 150 miles west of Berlin. These villages included Windheim, Petershaven, Lahde, Quetzen, Maslon and Frille. The Schoenherrs emigrated from Klotze near Magdeburg, 75 miles southwest of Berlin in what used to be East Germany. |
