Victoria was born in 1819, daughter of Edward, Duke of Kent, and granddaughter of King George III who produced 12 children but no male grandchild heir to the throne. After the death of her father and grandfather in 1822? and the death of her father's brother George IV in 1830 and his brother William IV in 1837, Victoria became Queen of England at the age of 18.
