Naval Air Stations
- National Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola Florida. "In 1914, the historic Pensacola Navy Yard, which dates back to 1826, was designated as the first Naval Air facility in the United States. In December 1962 the Secretary of the Navy announced the official establishment of the Naval Aviation Museum."
- NAS North Island in San Diego was established in 1917 and the name was changed in 1987 to Naval Aviation Depot North Island.
- NAS Lakehurst in New Jersey was established 1921 as the Navy's first Lighter-Than-Air base
- NAS Moffett Field was established near San Francisco 1933 and replaced by NASA's Moffett Federal Airfield in 1994
- NAS Jacksonville in Florida was established in 1939 and the name was changed in 1987 to Naval Aviation Depot Jacksonville
- NAS Fort Lauderdale was established in 1942 at the Merle Fogg Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, closed in 1946 and replaced by the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
- NAS Tillamook in Oregon and the Tillamook Air Museum
- NAS Weeksville in North Carolina. "On July 3, 1941 the Congress passed a bill to authorize construction of facilities to house and support 48 airships. Previous to this a survey was done to select the best locations for these bases. Weeksville North Carolina was selected because of it's proximity to the large Navy presence in Norfolk and because it was midway down the east coast of the United States and blimps operating from here could cover the Hampton Roads, Cape Hatteras area. On August 6, 1941 construction was started on what was to become Weeksville Naval Airstation (LTA)."
- NAS Cherry Point was established Dec, 16, 1943 in North Carolina as a repair depot and the name was changed in 1987 to Naval Aviation Depot Cherry Point
- Naval Airship Association
- Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego was established in 1992 with its origins as the Naval Supply Depot in 1922.
